Regular annual exams and vaccines are some of the easiest things an animal owner can do to keep their pet healthy. At Grayson Veterinary Hospital, we vaccinate your animal based on the latest medical evidence and vaccination guidelines. We provide only the vaccinations that are appropriate to your pet’s lifestyle. During your pet’s wellness exam, we will perform a physical assessment, checking your dog or cat from nose to tail. We will also make sure your pet receives appropriate vaccinations and preventives. It is important to keep your pet current on vaccinationsheartworm preventative, and flea/tick prevention. We will perform a diagnostic workup, which may include blood, fecal, and urine tests to check for parasites and underlying diseases. We may also recommend that your pet receive dental care. When your pet is nearing his or her senior years, we will recommend a baseline exam and diagnostic workup, so we’ll know what’s normal for your pet. This will enable us to keep track of any changes.

Call us today to schedule your pet’s exam! If you have any questions, we would be happy to discuss our wellness examination and vaccines in more detail.

  • Dogs
    • Adult dogs are recommended to have an annual examination which includes a full physical exam, Heartworm testing, fecal testing, and vaccinations. Recommended vaccines include Rabies, Distemper-Parvo (DHPP), Leptosporosis, and Bordetella/Kennel Cough (lifestyle based).
    • Geriatric dogs between the age of 6-10 should also have full bloodwork checked with our Senior Canine Screening.
